“And in Book 3: Awakening of the Goddess chronicles there is a passage where it speaks about Arasta Village. It’s so descriptive and-”
With my small hand I covered his mouth and tried my best to give him a threatening look.
“Shut up. Please.”
“Fine young one. I just get on a roll whenever I get on the topic of her excellency. Isn’t she amazing? She saved our lands from darkness and destroyed the wretched demons so we could flourish.”
I may be in a child's body but I have been around for a while, a long while. Whatever this book stated was so wrong that I couldn’t suppress the urge to roll my eyes.
“You aren’t a believer, but why can you not see the splendour of the Goddess?” The Priest continued.
“I don’t believe in false gods,” I coldly answered.
That shut him up, thank the gods. For the last leg of the journey he stayed quiet! The gates were finally in sight and even a specter of darkness like me couldn’t help but be in awe. Arasta Village, despite its name, was massive. Giant spiraling pillars stretched to the sky and a massive temple in the center shimmered in the sunlight. I closed my eyes and concentrated, trying to sense if that legend about the angel was true. My powers were weaker in the child's body but it didn’t take me more than two seconds to find what I was looking for. A holy presence so strong that it bathed the entire village in holy light.
