Brothers All,
On behalf of the Kappa Community Development Foundation, Inc., it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 45th Annual Metro Founders Day Celebration. We come together in fellowship and renewed spirit to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. During this celebration, we all should take this opportunity to rededicate ourselves to our fundamental purpose of Achievement. We are living in turbulent times that tests every Brother’s resolve. These are the times Kappa Men are built for and surely as our founders demonstrated the intestinal fortitude to move forward, so shall we.
Thank you to the Brothers of the College Park/Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni Chapter for taking on the audacious task of virtually hosting this year’s celebration. We applaud the herculean effort of developing an engaging program. We are always appreciative to hear thoughtful and powerful words from our 34th Grand Polemarch, Reuben A. Sheldon III, Esq. and our 29th Eastern Province Polemarch Charles Exum, Jr. Brother Grand Polemarch and Brother Province Polemarch, thank you for your leadership and participation. It also exciting to hear from keynote speaker, Brother Hakeem Jeffries and to hear a special message from Brother Cedric Kyles.
Brothers, the theme of this year’s celebration is, “Revitalizing the Dream, and Reenergizing the Bond” and with the challenges we are experiencing nationwide, there is no better time than this evening to do just that. This evening’s program is food for the soul so we can forge ahead and achieve in every field of human endeavor. Mankind needs us. Mankind awaits. Let us continue to lead. Happy Founders Day to the Men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Yours in the Bond,
Vernon J. Marrow
President
