Storage & Handling
Food Safety and the Beauty of Fermentation
Answers raw food, naturally through fermentation, has high counts of good bacteria. The good
bacteria (probiotics) “overthrow” the bad bacteria and prevent pathogens from growing or
multiplying. This food safety proceedure is the most natural, and minimalistic way to keep
food safe.
What happens when Answers Pet Food is compromised or is not kept at the appropriate
temperature? Like all things, too much of a good thing, turns bad. Although the good bacteria
count increases as time goes on please follow refrigeration times and best use by dates with our
products to ensure it is always the best it can be before being served to your pet.
Storage and Serving
Keep frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or at room temperature in protective bowl or on a
plate. Once thawed, you may portion food and store in refrigerator, or refreeze for your
scheduled feeding convenience. We suggest storing it in sealed glass containers.
Safe Handling
Keep raw products separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces, utensils, hands,
and any other items that come in contact with raw product with hot, soapy water.
