OPHA PERCHERON HIGH POINT CART PROGRAM
QUALIFYING SHOWS:
1. ESSA CANADIAN NATIONAL DRAFT HORSE EXHIBITION
2. NAVAN FAIR
3. PARIS FAIR
4. LINDSAY EXHIBITION
5. CARP FAIR
6. NORFOLK COUNTY FAIR
7. ROCKTON WORLDS FAIR
8. ROYAL HORSE SHOW
RULES & REGULATIONS:
1. You must complete the class in order to collect any points
2. The placing’s delivered by the fair will be considered final
3. The exhibitor must be a member of the OPHA in order to collect points
4. The exhibitor will collect one point for completing the class, and an additional point for every entry
that they beat (e.g. if you place 3rd in a class of 10 entries, you will receive 8 points).
5. In the event that a fair will offer more than one eligible class, (i.e. Navan fair offers a mare four horse
hitch as well as an open four horse hitch), or that an exhibitor has more than 1 entry in a class, the exhibitor will receive the highest points awarded (eg. if an exhibitor receives 4 points in the mare class, and receives 2 points in the open class, the exhibitor will be awarded 4 points for that show).
6. Only placing’s in a mare, open, or all breed class will be eligible for point accumulation (junior, lady’s, and specialty classes excluded). A specialty class being a driving competition, obstacle course, fun class, etc.
7. An exhibitor in this program will be considered the farm/stable name used for entry in the class. The entry must also consist of all Percheron horses.
8. The committee will do their best to collect results from the fair for this program. The committee’s decision will be final!
9. Awards will be given out at the annual banquet.
