LAKE ALICE Almost 1,400 meandering acres,
just East of Lake Mohawksin & Tomahawk on
the Wisconsin River. This great fishing lake holds muskellunge, pike, bass, and walleye. Known for its excellent panfishing, including perch, bluegills, and crappies. It’s a very popular ice fishing spot. Leisurely explore the miles of shoreline and islands by kayak or canoe.
In the early 1900s “Kings Dam” was completed to power a pulp mill, and was named for the King family who had settled property there. As the story goes, construction workers were present on the dam as young sisters, including an angler named Alice, were fishing nearby. The men overheard one of the anglers refer to the newly created body of water as “Alice’s Lake.”
Today, Lake Alice has it all: resorts, restaurants,
& recreation. Get in a round of golf and lunch at Edgewater Country Club, fish and watch wildlife all afternoon, and sleep tight in a waterfront cabin.
Lake Alice can be accessed by multiple public boat landings: off Horseshoe Road, at the end of Birch Road, off Shorewood Road, off North Anglers Avenue, and off Sandy Lane.
LAKE ALICE ASSOCIATION Dedicated to protect, preserve, & improve the integrity of Lake Alice
