Lockhart to Halls Gap.
nother early start today as we
Ahave a 620 kilometre trip to our
next destination. Our first planned
stop is Deniliquin for morning tea,
Whilst there we also stocked up with
some supplies and refuelled.
We departed Deniliquin at 10:36 on
route along the Cobb Highway to our
lunch stop in Quambatook, Victoria.
Quambatook is a quaint little town
65 kilometres from the NSW-
Victoria border, on the Murray
Valley Highway. We stopped for
lunch along side a park with public
facilities available.
Lunch over and back on the road
again and onto the Calder Highway
to our destination for the next two
nights, Halls Gap in the Grampians.
We arrived at the Lakeside Caravan
park at 16:20 and found ourselves a
nice spot in the top section not far
from amenities, but to our dismay a
family with young children had
decided to feed the cockatoos, we
couldn’t stand all the screeching so
we relocated further away, even
though the ground was a little bit
uneven.
