Denominations of churches involved in the crusade i.e. in preparations and
implementations were approximately 5-15. All pastors involved were responsible for
the successful implementation of the crusade and bringing their congregations down
to the crusade place including inviting the other pastors and their congregations. For
this purpose a local crusade committee was formed whose members were the
pastors and activists from the above denominations. In general the sizes of the
crusade committees ranged from 15-20 persons to 30-40 persons and each being
headed by the iniating pastor who had a direct connection to NJE via NJE committee
members or NJE secretariat directly.
The preparation and implementation of the crusade was designed based on the
submitted crusade proposal from the initiating pastor (the will-be chief of the crusade
committee). He (she) had to gather and manage the concerned local churches and
formed the organization of the crusade committee accordingly. Then (s)he prepared
and submitted the proposal to NJE to get the approval from NJE. In principal the
crusade expenses consisted of as follows: local operational expense, NJE team’s
transportation and accommodation expense and offerings for NJE team and local
crusade committee. The biggest cost component which played a crucial role in the
mobilization of congregations was transportation cost subsidy.
A distinct differentiation of this period with the other periods, one among
others, was the strong emerging of miraculous healings in many crusades as written
in the Gospel of God such as the blinds could see, the deaf-and-mute could hear and
talk, the lame could walk, and some other internal diseases got healed. The healing of
the blind people happened for the first time in the crusade in Gunung Sitoli, Nias,
before the big earthquake (in less than one month) which took place at the end of the
first quarter of 2004. (this miracle was documented and could be found in the
video-clip of KKR Nias, prepared for NJE Gathering in Manado, North Sulawesi). After
this startling event of ‘monumental miracle’ in Gunung Sitoli, Nias many similar
miracles followed and happened in the crusades in many cities (towns), mostly in the
provinces of North Sumatra, Central and North Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, East Nusa
Tenggara (NTT) and Maluku.
For another example, the healing of the paralytic persons took place in the
crusade in Kota Perdagangan, North Sumatra, with 2 (two) paralytic persons got
healed and walked after being prayed during altar call session. The first was a
middle-aged woman who came to the crusade sitting on a wheel chair. She was
touched, freed by God and returned home walking. The next day of the crusade, this
woman came back again without using a wheel chair. The second was a girl who had
suffered from polio since her early childhood and became paralytic. She was healed
by Lord Jesus Christ and brought to the stage to demonstrate her healing. She walked
