An Auspicious Incidence with His Majesty,

the Fourth King of the Kingdom of Bhutan

on the Full Moon Day

The 10 day of August, 2014 will be indelibly imprinted on the minds of my
wife and me to be cherished forever. The said day was corresponding to the

15 Day of the 7 Month of the Bhutanese Calendar Year, which was an

auspicious day for every Bhutanese. It was a pleasant Sunday morning and
most people were out for visiting temples, picnicking and enjoying different

activities with family and friends. Many people were hiking up towards the

BBS Tower, which prompted my wife and me to follow in their footsteps. As
karma would have it, our plans to go for a jaunt were delayed due to the

normal household errands and therefore we didnût set off for walk till dusk.

Without a minute to spare we donned some smart hiking clothes and were

off out the door and walked towards the BBS Tower. On the way we met

many people- some known to us and some unknown, who were returning from

their afternoon walk. After reaching the BBS Tower we made the impulsive
decision to visit Wangditse Lhakhang (Temple) to offer our prayers. We picked
