THE SISTERS OF BON SECOURS HAVE WELCOMED TWO WOMEN,
PERPETUA AND NATALIE, AS PRE-CANDIDATES.
They are beginning the early stages of their formation
process. They share their experiences with the sisters
and shed a little light on discerning one’s vocation
and the process of becoming a Sister of Bon Secours.
We invite you, the readers, to share their stories
with other young women who might be interested
in living as a Sister of Bon Secours.

PERPETUA from Nigeria
‘‘ I have journeyed with Sr. Fran for the

past two years, during which we have been
reflecting on living the Christian vocation
with a renewed awareness and focusing on
a Bon Secours vocation. During my visit to
the Motherhouse in Paris, I was blessed to
meet with the sisters on the heritage retreat.
Their simplicity was so captivating. Despite
it being my first time meeting them, they
were all kindhearted and helped me feel
at home—as if I were already a sister.

The sisters’ actions are aligned with their
spirituality, which I have been reflecting on
with Sr. Fran. They exude joy and maturity
and emanate audacious hope in living their
vocation. They simply live for Jesus by
recognizing Jesus in each person. This
profound experience with the sisters has
deepened my call to Bon Secours.” Pre-candidate Perpetua visits the Chapel at the Motherhouse in Paris.
