WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR CHILD IS UNWELL
Your child should not attend the service if they have or are showing early signs of any of the following:
• Chickenpox
• Conjunctivitis
• Measles
• Mumps
• German Measles/Rubella
• Vomiting and Fever (High
Temperature)
• Whooping Cough
• Thrush
• Meningitis – Bacterial or Viral
• Meningococcal
• Diarrhoea
• Head Lice
• Tonsillitis
• Severe skin rashes or infections
• Excessive discharge from ears, eyes,
or nose
If your child presents any signs or symptoms of an infectious illness while at the service, you will be asked to collect them from care and provide a doctor’s clearance upon return to Discover My World. A 24hr exclusion period will apply for any confirmed infectious illnesses (the exclusion period may differ depending of the type and severity of illness). This is often determined on a case- by-case basis, so speak to your child’s educators to make sure you know what is required,
