FROM OUR EXPLORERS
February is a wrap!
Throughout February we had a sense of community as our Explorers engaged in videos, discussions and creative artworks surrounding stranger danger, toileting, hygiene and road safety. This was all influenced and complimented by our excursions to the library and with Moran.
Throughout March we will be busy exposing the children to various opportunities to create their own learning. We have a media arts focus at the moment in which the children take on responsibility to help document their own learning with educator assistance. We will be continuing this focus throughout our home corner which is now a jungle with animals, natural materials and will be a hub for sensory aspects of play such as sand, water, gelatine, play- dough, dirt etc.
We will be continuing our exploration of the community and picking up items along the way to add to our loose parts play that will be a large area within the back of the room. Educators are focusing on communication, shared social experiences and positive, reciprocal relationships with and between the children.
We would love your help to build this area up. Bring in your natural and man made items that we can display for the children to construct, imagine and create with.
These items can be taken to our new loose parts hub, or donated straight to the Explorers room. We are also loving all the weekend photos and family input we are receiving from our families! Thank you for being so open, your contributions mean a lot to us and your children!
