Advanced searching (phrases and/or operators ETC)
“
Advanced search is a full search of the entire dictionary text. It finds your term
wherever it occurs in the dictionary. This could be in the form of an entry name,
part of another word's definition, in a quotation, etc.
Advanced search options are a set of filters offered by most search engines on the
web. They narrow the scope of a search query to eliminate irrelevant information to
help you find the exact content you're looking for. Advanced search filters aren't
limited to web search engines like Google.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BASIC SEARCH AND ADVANCED SEARCH
The only difference between a basic search and an advanced one is the amount of
choices for limiting the search. A basic search allows you to limit by material type. An
advanced search adds the option to limit by language, publication date, and publisher.
