        BUILDINGS' EFFECTS ON PEOPLE

‘The design of buildings has an important effect on the

        people who use them.’

        What do you think?

Subconsciously, buildings shape people's judgement. Chichen Itza in Mexico is a

symbol of indigenous heritage, as well as national pride. A building erected a
millennia ago, still shaping Mexico's national identity.

Your identity starts shaping at home. Where you learn about life, surrounded by 4
walls that you call home. Size, colours, location and how green it is, might have an

impact on you. Therefore, any place that resembles home, may be seen as
comfortable and safe. Whether or not you have visited it before.

Another location able to change your faith is College. Brown walls, covered with

green leaves. Sites designed to host and raise a new generation of people. Things
like decoration and colours could be perceived as College's political orientation,

        consequently adding to its portfolio.
