Chapter 2 One’s Residence

Unit 1: One’s Home

Let us now discuss about the place where you reside. Please give a detailed
description of your home. Try to picture its important features.

Answer A:
I currently reside in an apartment in Seoul. It is a small studio in a five-storey building. It has a
bathroom, a small space for a kitchen, and a small balcony. I use a divider to separate my living
room and bedroom. My apartment is semi-furnished. I have some furniture like cabinets, chairs
and a table in the kitchen and a sofa in the living room. Some of my friends hang out here. I
also use small appliances like a microwave, TV, VCR and a rice cooker. I don’t need many
appliances because I live alone. Some paintings and pictures adorn the walls. My apartment is
cozy. I feel comfortable living here.
