M: My favorite gadget is my cell phone. It has so many handy features! It really helps me to organize my life
One of the features that are particularly useful is the daily planner. This lets me stay up-to-date with all the
things that 1 need to do in my hectic life. My phone also helps me communicate with my friends in a variety
of ways. 1 can text message, email, or call them. It gives me a lot of options for getting in contact with people
My cell phone is definitely my favorite gadget

W: My favorite gadget is my Tivo Box. Tivo is great because it lets me easily record a lot of things on TV. This
way 1 never miss any of my favorite TV shows. 1 can do whatever 1 need to do and then watch them at a time
that is more suitable for me. Tivo also has another feature that lets me fast forward through commercials
and boring parts of a show. This way 1 also save time because 1 don’t have to waste my time watching
tedious commercials that usually irritate me. My Tivo Box is great

W: The university will close the campus hospital. It is doing this in order to build a new library. 1 think the
conversation will be about the bad results of closing the hospital.

M: Did you see this notice? It was posted in the hospital
W: No, 1 didnl What does it say?
M: It says that the university wants to close the campus hospital
W: Really? That’s strange. Why?
M: They want to use the money to build a new library
W: Well, we really do need a new library. The current library is too small , and there aren’t enough facilities. It
would be wonderful to have a new one
M: Yes, but the hospital is much more important than the library. Just last week 1 was there because 1 had a
high fever. The doctors there were really kind, and they helped me recover quickly.
W: You could also go to an off-campus hospital. There are some near the university
M: This one is so convenient, though. 1 live in the dorms, s。 이’s easy to go there before or after classes. Also,
since 1 don’t have a car, it would be really difficult to get to the other hospital. 1 don’t want to ride the bus
when 1 ’m sick
W: 1 guess not. 1 live in a house in the city, so it makes no difference to me
M: Well, I'm absolutely furious. 1 am definitely going to this meeting on Friday. 1 want to keep the hospital
open. It’s really important to me and many other students. Will you come with me?
W: 1 would, but it doesn’t really affect me ‘
M: Sure it does. If other students are sick, they can give their illnesses to you. You will be healthier if all students
have easy access to a physician.
W: OK. I’11 go with you
