A Love of Plants

“I really love being a scientist. I’m free to explore

whatever I’m curious about. I get to ask questions and then

find the answers. I must also be a good storyteller. I want

people to understand how exciting my discoveries and

plants are. Plants are incredibly important in our everyday

lives. They give us oxygen. Much of our food and

medicine comes from plants, too. In truth, our

lives depend on them. I feel very grateful to

have a career exploring plants,” says Nagalingum.
