Making international calls
Lee: Hello! This is Mr. Lee. Good evening to you, Mr. Smith!
Smith: Good evening too, Lee! How do you do? Are you here in Los Angeles?
Lee: I’m good, Mr. Smith! I hope you’re good too. I’m not in Los Angeles. I’m in Seoul. This is an
international call I’m making. Is it a good time to talk?
Smith: Oh, I see. Sure, I’m free now. We can talk. What made you call? I assume this is rather
important.
Lee: We’re now in the process of finalizing your orders and delivery. We just want to confirm if we
got all the data right. We’ll be faxing a document to your office after this call, and then we advise
that your secretary calls us up to inform if the data are good. Then, we can proceed with our
transaction. I also want to update you about the progress of our deal.
Smith: That’s good to hear, Mr. Lee. I’m impressed by the kind of attention that we are getting from
your company. I hope that we will experience the same in our future transactions. Sure, I’ll give
the order to our secretary. I’ll personally check the documents you would be sending.
Lee: That’s all, Mr. Smith. Thanks for your time. Have a good day! Bye!
Smith: Have a good day too! Bye!
