Smoking
The people of pre-Columbian America were
the first users of tobacco.
They cultivated the plant and smoked it in pipes
for medicinal and ceremonial purposes.
However, too much of a good thing is bad.
Studies have shown that non-smokers live
longer than smokers do.
They have clearer lungs and are less vulnerable
to lung cancer.
