Cartoons

I watch cartoons everyday because they are
very amusing.
I wake up early in the morning because of my
favorite shows.

I can’t spend a day without watching my
favorite cartoons.
I always feel like my day is not complete if I
didn’t watch them.
My favorite cartoon character is SpongeBob
because he is very funny.
SpongeBob and Patrick are best friends and
they compliment each other.

Grammar

* The word “because” can be used to connect an independent clause that
shows an effect to the dependent clause that shows the source (or cause) of
the effect. The question “why” can often be answered by the “because”

statement.
► We can see the stars because it is dark.
► She was late for class because her car broke down.
► The rice is wet because he put too much water.
