Sheena: Sure. What's the topic of your report? MANTLE

Jun: It's about the interior of the earth. The three major

layers: the dense core, the bulky mantle, and the CORE

brittle crust.

Sheena: You just have to remember, the core is the hottest

part and the inner layer of the earth. It's made of

iron and nickel.

Jun: I see. What about the mantle?

Sheena: It's the second layer. It makes up 84% of earth's

volume. It is mostly solid rock with temperatures

ranges from 200 to 4000 degrees Celsius.

Jun: And the crust is the hard outer layer. It is less than
