Evidence Write a Friendly Letter
PROMPT
In Timeless Thomas, you learned how our quality of life is better in many
ways because of Thomas Edison’s inventions. The text and the illustrations
work together to share information about Edison’s ideas.
Study the pictures. Then write a letter to the illustrator, who is also the
author, sharing how his drawings added to your understanding of Edison’s
inventions. Tell which illustrations were the most useful and explain what
you learned from them. Don’t forget to use some of the Critical Vocabulary
words in your writing.
