PROMPT
How Did That Get in My Lunchbox? uses words and pictures to tell how
different foods make their way from farms, orchards, and dairies to
markets or grocery stores. These foods are parts of the meals we eat.
Imagine you were given a free copy of this book in exchange for providing
a critique, or feedback, to the publisher. The publisher is most interested
in hearing how you feel about the way illustrations are used in this text
to share information. Write a paragraph that tells your opinion about the
illustration that shows the steps of making cheese. What did you learn
about how cheese is made? Is this a good way to share important
information? Why or why not?
PLAN
Make a list of things you like about the illustration. Then make a
list of things you do not like about it. Compare the lists to help you
decide what to tell the publisher.
