Lesson 7
Comments
Do you think you are honest?
I think I am truly honest when it comes to comment.
I am ingenuous to others, but more importantly I’m
truthful to myself. As a human being, I slip once in
a while. Now and then I end up being untrue
to myself, but generally I am honest. If I’m not
honest at times, I try harder to be next time. When
I am asked to express my opinion about something,
I speak my mind out freely though it may give emotional scars to others. Al-
though I try to be sensitive about others’ feelings, I know that it’s better to be
sensible than to be sensitive. I am, in most cases, honest to myself, but that
honesty draws the borderline in my friendships and relationships. When some-
one criticizes me and I see that person has a point, I neither close my mind to
him/her nor ignore the criticism. However, when I criticize others, they tend to
get offended. Should I be honest to myself or be deceitful to the listeners?
