Lesson 4
Love
What is love? According to the scientist, love is nothing
but a physiological reaction that occurs when the
hypothalamus is stimulated. It’s nothing but a case of
hormones. To the poet, love is the greatest thing in the
world. It makes the flowers bloom and the sunset seem
redder and more romantic. For the person in love, its
means sleepless nights, “butterflies in the stomach”, daydreams, knights in
shining armor, damsels in distress, and so on. For others, love doesn’t exist at
all. They think that love never lasts, and even if it exists, it never lasts long. It
just turns to “attachment”.
