Reading Skill: Making Inferences
An inference is a guess about something based on the
information in a story. An author may not explain everything
Choose the sentences with the correct inferences. or provide all of the necessary information. However, the
students can learn to “read between the lines” to make
inferences about a story or the characters in it.
