Lesson 4
Crystal Healing
Nowadays, people are trying to popularize
different alternative medical practices. Some
practices were used during the ancient times
but are still believed to be effective. One of
these is crystal healing. This curative uses
the technique of placing gemstones or crys-
tals on the body of a patient to heal and re-
store balance. According to some historians,
it was first used in Egypt. Practitioners place
the crystal stones on specific areas called
chakras. They believe that the body has an electromagnetic system and the
chakras vibrate as crystals of different colors are placed to treat the imbalance
we have. There are three steps in crystal healing. First is the cleansing pro-
cess. The crystal energy adjusts to the body and serves as a basis for healing.
Second is the harmonizing and integrating process in which the person experi-
ences a change in physical and emotional aspects. In this process, the patient
starts having a positive outlook in life. Third is the stability process. This results
to a stable positive attitude in facing life. There are negative criticisms about
crystal healing but the commitment and faith of a person will lead to his satis-
faction and optimism in life.
