Health Benefit from Berries
Fruits are essential for our health. Each fruit
has its own nutrients that nourish our body
with vitamins and minerals. Nowadays, differ-
ent fruits are being used as instant juices and
ingredients of different foods. Berries are some
of them. Raspberries, strawberries and per-
simmon are usually juicy and brightly colored.
These are nutritious and low in calorie content. Aside from vitamins and miner-
als, they provide natural sugars for energy. Berries are rich in phytochemicals
like beta-carotene, which help in the prevention of cancer and in slowing down
aging. These also contain flavonoids, which is an antioxidant. Berries such as
cranberries and blueberries help in curing bladder impairments. There are also
those, which aide in good vision such as raspberries as it contains lutein. Ber-
ries can be a very healthy snack. These can be prepared easily or can be eaten
as is. They can be used as ingredients for pies, tarts or salads. You can even
