Why I Like Reading Biographies

I think biographies are the best kind of book. Y ou
can learn so much from them! I like to read them
to learn about real people and about history.
I read a biography about the pilot Amelia
Earhart. I learned how much she did in her
life! She bought her first airplane only a few
months after her first flying lesson. In 1932, she
became the first woman to fly by herself across
the Atlantic Ocean.
I like that biographies can teach us so many
different things. I learned about civil rights when I
read about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I read about
the ways Dr. King helped people get the same rights.
As you can tell, I love
biographies. If you like learning
about real people and history,
read some biographies. I think
you’ll be a fan of them, too!
