In Soccer Shootout, the author tells the story in a way that helps readers
feel like they are part of the action. When the Titans beat the Cosmos in
the state championship, readers feel the excitement as if they are a part of
the team, too.
Imagine that you write a sports column for the Titans’ school website. You
want to write a summary that captures the excitement of the state
championship game. Write a paragraph to describe the exciting moments.
