Create a Finished Copy. Make a final copy of your persuasive speech and create
visuals to go with it if you wish. Consider these options for sharing your speech:
1 Deliver your speech to your class or a small group. Practice ahead of time so
you can look at your audience rather than at your text. To help your audience
understand, read at a rate that is neither too fast nor too slow.
2 Make a recording of your speech. Post it on a school or class website. Invite
students who disagree with you to share their opinions and reasons.
3 Hold a debate with classmates who wrote about the same mystery. Present
your opinion and reasons. Listen politely to opposing views. Ask each other
questions to clarify ideas.
