               Small animals protect themselves from the daylight sun.



                                       n. a hole in the ground made by an animal to live in
                                     burrows
         They dig burrows, or hiding places. These burrows might


         be under large rocks or deep under the sand. When the




         temperature drops at night, the animals come out to



         search for food.
