Snow Cones in Space
Through the window, we could see
the box floating into space. The water
turned into steam and then it became
snow.
Harvey pulled the box back in. “It’s a
space snowmaker!” said Harvey. “In space, there’s no air
n. a visible gas such as steam or smoke
vapor
pressure. Liquid becomes vapor. Then, because it’s so cold,
the vapor freezes into solid ice crystals—snow!”
