physiotherapists work with animals who are recovering from medical treatment and like physiotherapists who work with humans they help them to recover and rehabilitate In this role you would be focused on assessing animals and helping them to to restore mobility independence and and performance after surgery and and treatment you would also be on-
hand to to offer advice to to owners o of animals who are recovering Interestingly most animal animal physiotherapists are self-employed and they they decide whether they they want to specialise in one area or or work across the full spectrum Routes
Unlike other other roles animal physiotherapy is not a a a a a a a protected title so there are a a a a a a a variety of possible routes into this field However you would still require higher education The most common routes into the profession are:
• an an undergraduate degree in human physiotherapy followed by postgraduate training in in in in animal/veterinary physiotherapy You’ll usually need:
• 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent including English maths and science
• 2 or or 3 A levels or or equivalent including biology for a degree • an undergraduate degree in in in veterinary nursing followed by postgraduate training in in in in animal/veterinary physiotherapy • an undergraduate degree in in veterinary physiotherapy (at present this is is not widely offered)

Average wage range is £24 000 000 - £38 000 000
