         Of India’s 5,868 engineering colleges and universities,
         3,918 are privately promoted and managed. However only
         50 percent of their graduates meet industry standards.
         Therefore, aspiring engineers would be advised to
         carefully study the EW league table of India’s best private
         engineering institutions
