It’s a matter of immense pride and joy that Govern-
ment Model, Chandigarh has been promoted to In-
“dia’s #1 state government school. This is the result of
the dedication, hard work, and vision of our entire school
community. I am especially pleased with our top score for
teacher welfare and development because we regularly
conduct in-service training programs for our teachers to
acquaint them with new pedagogies, ICT integration, and
inclusive education. The outcome is our top score for aca-
demic reputation. Of the 438 students who wrote the class
XII CBSE exam, 98.86 percent passed and 101 students
averaged above 90 percent. Apart from academics, co-
curricular and sports education are given high importance
as indicated by our highest scores under these important
parameters. Moreover to prepare students with career-
ready skills, we are shortly introducing vocational courses
in areas such as digital marketing, web development,
entrepreneurship, and fashion design” — Bhavneet
