My name is Adlina Afiqah or the author and artist that created this book
specified in the art of mushroom illustration .I was able to pursue my degree in
graphic design and this is the first major project thus far.The time i have spent
on this book has open a new pathway of discovering my ability and how to
create a book.I was able to further understand on the variations of technique
with different mediums at the same time . This book is created as a project for
the subject Illustration and creative appilcation curated by my lecturer Puan Ainun
Jariah Binti Yacoob in my most gratitude that has helped me in guiding and giving
constructive critism that i can follow in order to have a polished product.I would like
to thank my friends too in sharing knowledge and helping me with my doubts and
overcoming problems .

Introduction
Mushroom has always been a fun guy by looking so strange and fascinating to
look at . There is countless variations of mushrooms and fungus that grew its
way into the world with different shapes , colour and sizes. I chose mushrooms
to be a study subject is because of how alien like they look and it comes in alot
of colours, even black and white ones .They are a challenge to draw as they
have different textures and appearence making it fun to understand the process
of drawing it while looking at the subject .The art of mushrooms is a compila-
tion of 15 mushroom themed illustrations that is done with various mediums that
is pencil,colour pencil,watercolour,digital art and charcoal . There will be three
techniques for each medium . An artwork is given an explanation of the progress
from start to finish ,the material that is use , the values and colour palette will
also be included.
You can follow along to the tutorial and gain the knowledge to distinguish
between techniques and how to do it.A context about the subject matter will
also be added so that you can search it up as a reference . There will be tips on
controlling your hand pressure and how to achieve a texture .This can be used as
a guidance but in the end we all know that practice is the one that will shine your
skills. So lets begin and hope you have fun drawing .
