The existence of varying visible and invisible wavelengths was confirmed
by Newton, when he used a glass prism to absorb white light, he found the
prism reflected the white light as individual wavelengths. (Fig5.)
Newton’s experiment with the prism explained Absorption and Reflection as
seen by the human eye.
The prism is made of glass without pigments. Thereby, it is completely
transparent. When all the wavelengths in white light (Daylight) are absorbed
they separate into individual wavelengths when reflected.
