Jenkins was exhausted when he reached the border and could only crawl the last few feet on his hands

and knees. The Swiss boarder guards could not do anything to help him until he had crossed the line into
Switzerland. Once in Switzerland Jenkins was free and the Swiss authorities arranged an early flight

home to London for him.
