Jenkins woke early the next morning excited by the prospect of being a spy. He made coffee and went to
the window. It was too early for the shops to be open and there was nobody on the street; except for one
man who stood in the shaft of sunlight that came through the gap in the buildings. The man appeared
happy to be seen and was passing the time by flipping a coin. Could this be knuckles? Jenkins thought.
