A young girl was going on her snowboard when after a jump her
sunglasses fell, so she took her snowboard and looked for them. She
was really sad because they were her favourite pair of sunglasses.
Fortunately she found them on the snow.

Commentary and mark
A very good attempt at the task. All the content points are successfully Content 5
addressed, and the target reader is fully informed. The text is Organisation 5
connected and coherent, using a number of basic linking words
Language 5
and some cohesive devices (when, so, and, them, because they).
Everyday vocabulary is used appropriately and correctly (sunglasses, Total 15
sad, favourite, snow). Simple grammatical forms are used with a good
degree of control (after a jump, she took her snowboard and looked
for them, she was, Fortunately she found them). Errors are minimal
(sunglasses fell).

Sample answer B

Today I went in Bielmonte for skiing.
In a specific jump the wind was very strong and my classes were flied.
When I backed in the snow I didn’t find the glasses and when I started to
tuch the snow I found it.

A satisfactory attempt at the task. All three parts of the story are

in the snow, I didn’t find, I started).
