individually in the spring conference tournament. In addition he

was in the school's honor program and had been named to the

2008 ESPN Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District team as

well as the Capital Athletic Conference All-Academic team.

Andrew was currently a senior at Wesley planning to enter law

school after graduation. He was a member of Phi Sigma Alpha

(Political Science Honor Society) and the Alpha Chi Honor

Society. His family feels that his special talents and

determination are needed elsewhere and they will miss him

forever. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Gladys Geyer

of Milford; three brothers, Myles Geyer, Jarred Geyer and Zeph

Geyer, all of Milford; his paternal grandparents, Fred and

Barbara Geyer of Milford; his maternal grandparents, Ted and

Shirley Joseph of Ellendale and several aunts, uncles and

cousins. Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at the

Avenue United Methodist Church. Burial was held in the

Milford Community Cemetery, Route 113, Milford. In lieu of

flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the

Andrew Joseph Geyer Golf Scholarship Fund, c/o Wesley

College, 120 North St., Dover, DE 19901. Arrangements

handled by Rogers Funeral Home, Milford.
