Emily Louise Harris Pusey, 79, of Snow Hill, and also

of Chincoteague, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at

               her home in Chincoteague.

She was born October 31, 1934 in Salisbury, a

daughter of the late Ralph and Miriam Cherrix Harris.

Emily was proud of her Worcester County heritage

and spent most of her youth in Public Landing. She

retired in 1998 after over 30 years of service as a

secretary at Snow Hill High School. After retirement

she was never comfortable doing nothing, so she

worked various part time jobs at Souvenir City and

Tom’s Cove in Chincoteague and also worked as a

greeter at the Walmart in Pocomoke, a job she truly

enjoyed. She was a life member of Spence Baptist

Church in Snow Hill, where in her younger days she

taught Sunday school. She was also very active in the

JOY group at church and enjoyed eating out with her

friends. Some of her best memories were her trips to

the beach with family, especially the trips with her

               grandchildren.

She is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth J. Pusey, Jr

(Barbara) of Snow Hill and Norris R. Pusey (Zandra) of
