TRANSOM KNOT
This is an excellent knot for fixing together cross-pieces of wood,
bamboo, canes etc., and often used in the garden for supports for
plants. It can also be used in the outdoors for building shelters or
temporary structures. While not as strong or rigid as a square
lashing (see page 68) it is particularly useful for light jobs that
require many knots to be tied.
1 Pass the line around the first of the two objects to be secured and then
back over itself.
POSSIBLE USES?
• Garden trellises, frames and plant supports.
