‘Yuma’ – a Labradoodle with nervous stomatitis and food allergies
by Stephan
Yuma is a slim and intrusive 1-year-old bitch coming from a family in Hungary and her main complaints are stomach upsets, diarrhoea, tympanitis and food allergies showing as an bloody eczema on the belly and legs.
• Body: She is really thin and under the skin she has not real enough muscle mass to support her activity.
• Eating and food: With dog food of all kinds she is very picky and in the morning she has no desire to eat. The opposite is the case outside: everything she can get hold of, like faeces, bones, cheese, dust she eats as well as eggs and salt. She eats very slowly and always leaves something behind.
• Yuma has a special desire for things made of glass. It has to go into her mouth and she chews it, has even bitten into a glass and swallowed parts of it without harming herself.
• Perfume does not agree with her and she hides her nose in a blanket to avoid smelling it.
• She loves to sleep on a longhaired hide and on a cosy ‘pillow’. During sleep she is very
restless and changes position frequently.
• Behaviour: Her highest desire is to play, no matter if the other dogs want to or not, she doesn’t stop trying. A ‘No’ is nothing she accepts easily. Generally it is easy to make her obey and she learns quickly. If she is exited you can feel a internal vibration inside herand she gets very excited and it is not easy to calm her down. It is most extreme during full moon. She is fearful in the darkness and of unknown strange noises like blowing of a horse or the noise from a
highway.
• Socialisation: She is very friendly to
everybody, especially children. She loves to be touched and petted and Reiki is a therapy

Jan separates these out, however, and he puts the lanthanides as row six, but starting with Cesium and Barium, and the “gold series” as row seven. In the picture below, you see his lanthanide series, with Cesium (Cs, stage 1) at the left end, Gadolinium (Gd, stage 10) more or less in the middle, and Lutetium (Lu, stage 17) at the far right. (Stage 18 is halogens, but there is no halogen represented in Scholten’s lanthanide row, as the associated halogen, Radon, remains with the gold series.)
she enjoys and it helps her quickly. She is not good being left alone which rarely happens. Even in crowded places she is very well. Loud voices and arguments is not something, she can deal with. With other dogs she generally is obedient and not aggressive and a bit shy some times. Although a German Shepard has bitten her, she is still friendly with this breed and not fearful. She doesn’t bark a lot and if she is faced with aggression, she hides behind the owner.
• Her biggest problem is not being accepted or left behind. When the owner’s cat had accepted her to be close, she was unbelievable happy. She is very sympathetic to the owner when the owner feels sad and tries to console disputes by licking the owners’ hands.
• Hobbies: Playing, jumping, and she has never ending Energy with this until a point, when she suddenly collapses and falls asleep.
• Female Genitals: even when in heat she is not so interested sexually and very clean.
At the end of the case taking, when I had the idea that it could be a mineral case, I asked the owner to tell me, on a scale from 1 to 10, her dependence and she said 9 and for the self- confidence 3.
She characterised her as a teenager, who wants to have company all the time and is not doing anything on her own. She is not
You can see that the second element in Jan’s lanthanide row is Barium, and of course we know how timid the Barium patient can be, hiding from others, like the cats who bolt from the room when the doorbell rings. Gadolinium, stage 10, is balanced and in harmony according to Scholten. Erbium, stage 14, feels powerless and therefore resigned and gloomy,
independent and needs someone to be responsible, confirm and reassure her in doing things the wrong or wright way. Analysing the case by repertorisation brought up 3 Natrum salts in the first 10, which pretty well fits into the row 3 teenager time and a lot of symptoms leads to phosphorus (social, playful, suddenly tired, consolation, problems with arguments and being alone, jumping), gave me the remedy.
Therapy: Nat phos C30 (only one dose, 3 globules).
Follow-up
• In the next 2 days she was very hyperactive, then calmed down to normal followed by some days with running eyes as she has had occasionally in the past.
• Over the next 3 months she gained muscles but not weight, more self-confident, easier to educate, doesn’t wait for the owner’s OK. Before she would run towards other dogs, no more sounds from the stomach, no more coughing, no longer sudden tiredness, tolerates being reprimanded without problems. Accepts being without the owner for days, doesn’t give in so easily, much less submissive, self-confidence 5, dependence 4. Repetition: Nat-phos C30.
• 4 months later: everything is perfect, eats well, not picky any more, muscle mass normal now, runs and runs, self-confidence 7, dependence 3.
• 1 year later: no more treatment necessary. T
perhaps aloof, and Thulium, stage 15, is rather in a black hole, very dark and deeply troubled, worried about her salvation. To some degree, one must differentiate the right side remedies from the left, for example Erbium’s aloofness is “on the way out” as opposed to Barium’s hiding and powerlessness, which is for someone who never got any sense of self. Perhaps there is
