cefpodoxime. Fletch improves, but we still don’t know what is causing the allergies. His itch increased again after the antibiotic treatment was complete, and the 2nd Cytopoint 1 Apr 19 has no effect.
V&K have had Fletch for over a year now. They think they probably will keep him, so we do a homeopathic intake 7 Aug 19. At this time he is 4 years 8 months old – a fairly young small breed.
Fletch’s homeopathic intake – Mental / Emotional signs and General signs are
• < after castration and / or Rabies vaccination
• Prefers open bright beach house – will play there
• Temperament change since obtained (castration is known to increase anxiety)
1. Less adaptable & playful, more anxious alone in yard 2. > with another dog – explores, learned to use stairs
• Doesn’t understand things – climbing stairs, urinating outside on grass
• Temperature: Skin feels warm to touch, lies in sun, always on blanket
• Noise: < Sharp noise, banging, thunderstorm (wants to get away from noise, stays with owner, shakes)
• Can become cross: Has needed to be muzzled for blood draw, OK for acupuncture if held

My impression: He will wag his tail, though he is not frisky and shows only mild interest in people and the environment. He seems rather inert to me.
Fletch’s homeopathic intake – Physical signs
• Eating - Appetite inconsistent, and he is a slim dog.
• Won’t eat from a bowl – Initially ate from floor or paper
towel, now only from pillowcase
• “Methodically eats down the row” of food balls
• Toilet habits: Strong preference for urinating on gravel
or asphalt. Wouldn’t urinate for 12 h when 1st obtained:
‘’still doesn’t understand grass”
• Urinary – history of UTI, intermittent occult hematuria,
prostate normal on digital exam
• Back pain – occurs due to stress of grooming, > with
home grooming
• Joints – Stiff neck & hips, mild left patellar luxation

• GI – Multiple metronidazole rx for Clostridium dif
(loose stools, dx’d by local vet)
• Eye – Protruding scar tissue on left cornea • Thyroid – on supplementation
