We’re only just into February and it’s been a roller- coaster new year so far! The RCVS position statement in early November sparked the start of a serious campaign from our supporters .
This year could be a turning point in the history of the Association and likely much wider afield.
The demonstration in London on 15 January by passionate supporters of homeopathy and other complementary and alternative medicine, along with a dozen homeopathic vets, was in response to the RCVS statement against the use of homeopathy and CAM as a frontline treatment. Read full report by Geoff Johnson on p19 and more on the website (www.bahvs.com).
Talking about websites, you will probably know by now that the association has a brand new website which has already recieved a couple of thousand visits since its launch on 1 February.
We’re looking forward to encouraging more visitors – vets, owners and sup- porters – to find out more about the Association and veterinary homeopathy in general and we’re introducing new pages on a regular basis with latest news and useful articles and info.
For members we hope the site offers easy to find information with regularly updated details on courses, events and news. You can also find back issues of the Mag (dating back to 2012 so far) with exclusive viewing of the last 2 years to all subscribers. All issues can be viewed online as a flipmag (you’ll need to sign in for the last 8 issues) and you can also print off pages. It will also be pos- sible to download the mags at some point soon.
So, this is the very first edition of the Mag to be online only! There are some subtle changes as we no longer have the restrictions of a printed format so we think the reading experience from now on will be much improved. At a later point we’ll introduce embeded video into the Mag and already you have click- able links to easily find online references.
We are truly inspired and motivated by the supporters group who not only have an infinite amout of enthusiasm and energy but also knowledge and apprecia- tion of what we’re try to achieve as veterinary homeopaths and help defend our rightful role in the forefront of animal care. Many thanks. Malene
The British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons (BAHVS) was formed in 1981, to advance the understanding, knowledge and practice of homeopathy. It aims to stimulate professional awareness of homeopathy and to encourage and to provide for the training of vet-
erinary surgeons in the practice of homeopathy. It is an open forum for differing approaches to the subject of veterinary homeopathy and it’s
application, allowing for constructive inter- changes of ideas.
