Page 14 - Autumn 25
P. 14

Good day everyone,
It's still Autumn here, as it is not long since the last report.
The leaves are beautiful, the cold is coming in, so the earth
is still doing her best despite everything we throw at her.
At the IAVH, we are working on the México congress for
next year (October 2026), starting to gather speakers and
such. We are wanting proposals and plan for this to be a
good congress. We'll have more information soon on the
forum, but anyone interested in speaking can send an email
to me or to any of the other committee members (Mirjam
Blatnik, Banu Kantarcioglu, Carolina Gonzáles, Rosy Ramirez,
Emily McAteer, and Jody Bearman). I'm not listing the email
addresses here, except for mine, which is
donhamiltondvm@posteo.net. (There is so much spam out
there.) If you know one of them and have their email
address, you can email them directly. You can also email one
of them through Lavra Kreacic at the office email address:
office@iavh.org. We will as well send out a request online.
We want Spanish and English language presentations.
IAVH General Secretary Beatrice Milleder has hosted the
first online discussion group recently, and it was good
success, with attendees from several countries (USA,
Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, GB, Ireland,
Czech Republic, Germany, Spain) and many who said it was
beneficial. The topic was "The Follow-up," which is definitely
a great point for discussion. The next discussion will be
November 23rd and will be about the Ranunculaceae. These
discussions are simply this, a chance for colleagues to
discuss a topic but without a speaker or a presentation. They
are live, not recorded, and you must join with audio and
video, so it's simply a group of people together. Each session

has a moderator. There will of course be more after these.
Speaking of remedy families, I'm currently reading the latest
issue of Homeopathic Spectrum and the topic is the
Nightshades (Solanales). There are a lot of interesting cases,
including one by our colleague, Geoff Johnson. I've only read
a few so far but the cases are fascinating. I have no
connection to Spectrum, but it is a great homeopathic
periodical, and we are fortunate to have this available. And it
is available in print, which is fabulous for those of us who do
not like to read online. Please consider subscribing. It has
been picked up by Emryss, and they are trying to keep this
going. Currently they plan two issues a year. You can
subscribe at https://www.emryss.com/spectrum and help
our community continue to access inspiring literature. I
have no connection to Emryss or to Spectrum. I just believe
it to be a valuable resource, but it will only continue to be
available if they get enough subscribers. The times are
somewhat difficult for homeopathic medicine and we need
to support those who support homeopathy. And we need to
help ourselves and our practices as well, and inspiring
articles are part of this process. We all know what is possible
through homeopathic medicine, as we see the results in our
practice.
Thank you for reading the BAVHS/IAVH Magazine as
well, which is of course another great resource for inspiring
our practices and lives. (And please send articles to Malene
at the Mag!) And for being an IAVH member, working for
the common good for the animals as well as the humans in
our lives.
