retreat and the other was a congress. I feel that the
medics have their back against the wall, trying to
legitimize themselves on a platform which is made by
conventional colleagues and not fit for homeopathy to
shine its light. It is not a fair fight in many respects.
Whereas the Professional homeopaths are not under the
same threat and can put their time and energy into
treating patients, running provings and exploring new
remedies.
This is another area where homeopaths could be stronger
together and I would love there to be a way to bridge that
gap between the two whilst maintaining standards. It is
the professional non medically qualified homeopaths
who are growing in number and are keeping homeopathy
alive at least in my country, whereas we medically
qualified vets, doctors, dentists etc. have to work under
the constraint of our governing bodies who may have
hidden agendas, and hence our numbers are dwindling.
I was also at the Unleashing Homeopathy congress in
Bali. There we experienced the new Komodo Dragon
remedy and did a trituration proving of Banyan Tree.
There were homeopaths from Australia, Indonesia,
Canada, Europe and the US. If you haven’t heard of the
Homeopathy Hangout Podcast check it out. It is run by
Eugene Kruger who lives in Australia and she interviews
homeopaths from all over the world. I have learned so
much from her podcast about different disciplines from
meditative provings to those “grounded in science” and
everything in between.
Last September the BAHVS held a very successful
conference in East Sussex. There was a section for vets
new to homeopathy, where they were wowed with what
homeopathy can do and shown some cured cases
alongside evidence of its efficacy. We need to encourage
more vets to use homeopathy. It is a new hope for vets
who reach burn out and leave the profession from a
combination of disillusionment and overwork.
Homeopathy is the new medicine of the future.
The IAVH are running their next congress along with the
LMHI in Merida, Mexico where they hope to engage more
of the Spanish speaking community, which is massive
and on the increase. We have some amazing colleagues
doing great work there. Giving me another excuse to
continue my globetrotting and make more inspiring like-
minded friends.
