flexible timing, fewer expenses, modern technologies may attract more young veterinarians. But one can also see drawbacks – no direct communication, no hands on examination, less social communication, and team building. Board accepted online education because online education is the only way to continue education in homeopathy right now. Still, it's also important to be aware of how long we will accept such teaching and when we will return to face to face education again. It might be a new challenge for the course organizers, teachers, and students.
Education subcommittee gave positive news about homeopathy studies' outcomes. Our eight colleagues have completed their homeopathic education in the IAVH accredited school EcoHoVet in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The education is led by Carolina Gonzales and Alberto Dupuis, both teachers of IAVH; also, the IAVH exam in Slovenia in March 2020 was successful; all nine participants passed the exam IAVH certification in veterinary homeopathy (CertIAVH).
IAVH has had great success in introducing board members via Facebook. This idea has led to greater interest in IAVH and increased the number of followers for the IAVH homepage. Thanks to the subcommittee on Social Media for the work, and please continue that way.
2020 will remain a year of Covid-19 pandemics in the world and our memories, which brought unexpected, unplanned, and unpleasant changes and affected every one of us.
What has this year been like for IAVH?
LMHI 75th World Congress of Homeopathy and IAVH joint congress was due to take place in Izmir in June last year. Still, in the context of Covid emergency, a decision was taken to move the congress to this year, with the hope that we will be able to return to the old, perhaps unappreciated, excellent and simple lives.
Keeping in view the current challenges, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held online. Our AGM took place on the 13th and 20th of June 2020, over two days.
Among the many important points for discussion, there were updates regarding education. Education subcommittee proposed debate on the possibility to include online classes as a part of the accepted hours of education for the certification. There are advantages of having online education –
