him twice asking for favours in relation to homeopathy and the EU and both times he answered within 1 -2 days supporting our cause.
My conclusion is that he wanted to find out, whether ‘we’ are normal people, interacting in an intelligent way with modern medicine. It is also important for him to support homeopathy, because the population wants it.
Furthermore, it is to say that many board members were actively contacting their national MEPs, we were also supported by our human colleagues from ECH (European Committee for Homeopathy), by the ECVH (European Coalition for Veterinary Homeopathy).
Petra [Weiermayer] also managed to speak to representatives of the Council of the EU and of the EU commission. A workshop at the EU parliament was organised by ECVH, where – during the whole workshop, our amendments, which would make it possible to treat animals with homeopathic medicines registered for use in humans in first line within the EU, were presented. There is a lot of support around this, but we still need more! Sometimes it is more important to tell about the scientific grounds of homeopathy, sometimes it is more important to show, how it successfully works in order to convince people.
One way to show, how it successfully works, is by writing case reports to be published in scientific journals. When Petra started writing her case report, she was not sure that it would finally be published in a scientific journal but she gave it a try, and yes, the second journal published it and she could present it at the World Veterinary Congress in Barcelona this year! Hence, it is definitely worth it a try! And she started her project by writing my case report up for the
We belong to Eurocam, who have a good social media team. They diffuse good messages for attracting attention to CAM, which also benefits homeopathy. There is a plan for on-going spread of good messages. https://www.facebook.com/eurocam.network/and https://twitter.com/hashtag/eurocam?vertical=default.
There are also positive campaigns going on in different countries like the UK, Austria http://www.homoeopathie- verstehen.at/ or Germany https://www.homoeopathie- online.info/.
Please share and like them. For the moment there is one petition in Germany https://www.change.org/p/frau- bundesministerin-f%C3%BCr-landwirtschaft-julia- kl%C3%B6ckner-erhaltung-der-hom%C3%B6opathie-in -der-tierbehandlung?source_location=topic_page,. Please actively support homeopathy by promoting these petitions and campaigns – our patients/ patient owners have the loudest voice!
In the US, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has proposed requiring homeopathic medicines to undergo the same testing as conventional drugs. This is a radical departure from the previous guidance (400.400), which recognized the lack of adverse effects associated with properly prepared homeopathic medicines, and only required homeopathic medicines to be unadulterated and prepared according to the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia. A number of homeopathic groups – consumers, practitioners and homeopathic pharmacists – have joined together to work to preserve the 400.400 Guidance. The ONLY group that the FDA will meet with (and they have met with them three times) is the consumer group. Fortunately the
case report project of Stefan Kohlrausch – please do the same and feel free to ask Petra for support!
All of us need to work together, human doctors and vets and patients and patient owners, otherwise there might be no more homeopathy in future. What it is all about is that we need to be active, we need to speak with people, we need to show them what we do – we successfully treat our patients in a responsible manner with the best individually needed treatment, whether it is a homeopathic medicine or conventional medicine.
In support of homeopathy
There is a big effort going on in social media. For those who engage in social media, continue to diffuse messages as wide as you can.
consumer group is working with the other stakeholders, but this underlines that the consumers often have more power than the practitioners with government agencies.

The situation is that the minds of those in administration are closed to anything not related to ‘modern medicine’. Further, politicians and administrators have already so much going on that they will (may) listen to the voice of CAM but not to all the individual voices of the various alternative medicine groups. Therefore, working together with a number of groups representing alternative medicines is the best strategy for now.
